Our vision is to see the transforming power of the Gospel spread throughout Pittsburgh, and to the nations through the people of God, living and proclaiming the Word of God by the power of God.

Our mission is to glorify God by making disciples and planting churches. We will love God by abiding in Christ, love one another in authentic community, and love the world through sharing the Gospel in word and deed.

For a more in-depth explanation of our beliefs, please view the Baptist Faith & Message 2000 Statement.

What is living faith? Simply put, it’s faith that is alive. Living faith isn’t about religion or rules. Neither is it simply being good or having good intentions. A living faith is vibrant and growing.

At LFCC, we’ve adopted the following core values that paint a picture of what the Bible says living faith looks like:

Core value 1: Living faith is INTENTIONAL
A transformed life comes only through Jesus Christ’s sacrifice on our behalf, so we will be intentional & compassionate in sharing the Gospel message in word and deed (Rom. 1:16 & 10:17, Is.61:1-3, Mark 6:34).

Core value 2: Living faith is RELATIONAL
Abundant life comes only through a relationship with our Creator, therefore we will help one another grow in our relationship with God, with each other, and our community as we partner together for the gospel (Gen.1:27, John 13:34-35, Ecc.4:12, Acts 2:42-47).

Core value 3: Living faith is AUTHENTIC
An authentic life is about truth. Because God is Truth, we will strive to be authentic before God and with one another (Acts 5:1-11, Matt.7:1-5, Gal.6:1-2, Eph.4:15).

Core value 4: Living faith is SERVICE-ORIENTED
A meaningful life comes through serving the King of the world. Because God has gifted His children to serve, we will grow in our gifts to serve one another, our communities, and the world (Eph.4:11-16, Acts 2:44-45).

Core value 5: Living faith is EMPOWERED
A spiritual life comes only through the empowering of the Holy Spirit. And because God has called each Christian to service, we will empower and entrust people to serve, lead, and live out their calling (2 Tim.2:2, Eph. 2:8-10, 2 Cor.5:14-21)

At LFCC, we want you to experience a transformed, abundant, authentic, meaningful, and empowered life. Let your faith spring to life at Living Faith Community Church – a place where we can grow together in Christ-likeness and our calling to transform Pittsburgh with Christ’s Gospel.

A Picture of Ken and Paula Cordray

Ken and Paula Cordray

Ken & Paula grew up in West Virginia (Morgantown and Weirton, respectively).  After college (Fairmont State University for Ken and West Virginia University for Paula) they moved to Charlotte, NC, where Paula worked as a pediatric nurse and Ken worked as a safety consultant for about 16 years.  But most importantly, it was during this time that Ken and Paula both came to know Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior in 2000.

Five years later God called Ken to a staff position at Hickory Grove Baptist Church (North campus) as the married adults pastor. He also completed a Master of Divinity degree from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Wake Forest, NC.

Today, Ken and Paula are excited to call Pittsburgh home. They arrived in the Greentree area on June 1, 2010, responding to a clear call from God to start Living Faith Community Church. Together, the Cordrays are passionate about God’s transformational work in and around the Steel City, seeking to make authentic disciples and plant other Gospel-centered churches.
